College

I have decided to return to school and get my BS Degree in Maternal Child Health - Lactation. My good friend attended graduated from this course in it's first graduating class. Unfortunately it has it's issues! A few of which I have already experienced, however I intend to fight my way through and stand up for myself if need be. This course is almost completely online. There are 4 week long courses I must complete away from home as well. The first of which I will complete mid April in San Diego. I found it quite odd that it was cheaper to fly to and stay in California than in say, Chicago! should be interesting, Saffy will be attending with me and the boys will fend for themselves for a week. I am nearly finished with my first session, I have taken Anatomy and Physiology, which I am currently getting an A in!!!!!! I am also taking an Anthropology to Birth course. This course has been quite interesting and enjoyable minus the fact that the professor for this course is very difficult to work with. She doesn't grade as you go, nor is she very informative with her feedback on papers. I have no idea how this course will turn out. However she has asked me, and so I would assume the other students as well, to participate in online discussion. Since I am the only student that has I feel that should help my grade. We will see....
One very nice thing about this course is that they accepted all of my credits from Purdue, so I really only have to take an intro to psycology and an intro to sociology course outside of the applicable degree courses. It will be nice to not have a bunch of nonsense courses to complete, and I can spend time only learning things that apply to my field. Upon completion I will be well prepared to sit for the IBCLC exam. Also I will be in a good position to attend Nursing school, or become a Certified Midwife should I choose to further my education. More to come later......
